IPL 2024 Orange Cap update: After T20 World Cup snub, KL Rahul back among the top-5 | Ipl News
IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: A few hours after he was snubbed from a spot in the India’s T20 World Cup squad, Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul entered the fray for the top-run getters in the ongoing Indian Premier League season.
Following his 28-run outing, Rahul is now back among the top-five run scorers of the season, having pipped Rishabh Pant for the fourth spot. From 10 innings, Rahul has 406 runs to his name.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Virat Kohli maintains his iron grip on top of the Orange Cap table with 70 runs in the match against Gujarat Titans which also helped him reach 500 runs in this IPL season.
Also among the top five are Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sai Sudharsan and Rishabh Pant.

Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
