IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: Rajasthan Royals’ Riyan Parag toppled his skipper Sanju Samson to enter the top-five run scorers tally after his invaluable 48 against the Punjab Kings on Wednesday. Parag is now the fifth highest run scorer of the season with 531 runs from 12 innings, which includes four fifties.
Still sitting at the top of the tally is Royal Challengers Bengaluru opener Virat Kohli, who extended his domination on Sunday against Delhi Capitals.
Kohli chipped in with a quickfire 27 off 13 balls as he moved to 661 runs after 13 matches. This is his second-best season ever in the IPL after the 2016 edition where he notched up 973 runs.
Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan is fifth in the race after recording his maiden IPL hundred. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Travis Head had climbed third in the most runs tally for the season as he scored a blering 89 against the Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday.

Every year when the Indian Premier League (IPL) season comes around, a lot of eyes are on the players who score the most number of runs in the season, there getting the Orange Cap.
Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
