Kishan made his IPL debut in 2016, when Gujarat Lions picked him up at his base price of Rs 35 Lakh. He was roped in Mumbai Indians in the 2018 Auctions, and was with the side for six years.
Kishan has racked up 2644 runs in 105 outings in the IPL, scoring at a strike rate of 135.87. He has on multiple occasions also been a contender for the Orange Cap.
The out-of-favour India keeper scored 796 in his 32 T20I outings at a strike rate of 124.37. His most notable feat in international cricket remains his ODI double century against Bangladesh in 2022. Kishan will look to continue playing with his aggressive mindset to try and make a comeback to the international side in T20Is.
The Jharkhand keeper last played for India in November 2023 against Australia at home before losing his spot across formats after opting for a mental health break. Kishan was recently in the midst of a controversy during India A’s tour to Australia where he was cautioned umpire Shawn Craig for showing dissent in the first tour game at Mackay last month.
