Mumbai, the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 champion, will face the Rest of India (RoI) team in the Irani Cup 2024-25 match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The one-off contest will be played from October 1-5. While the match was originally slated to be held in Mumbai, the home ground of the defending Ranji champion, persent rains in the city forced the BCCI to move the game to Lucknow.
Ajinkya Rahane will lead Mumbai while Ruturaj Gaikwad was announced captain of the RoI team on Tuesday.
