ISL impasse ends as league to start from February 14, says Sports Miner | Football News

Indian Super League will start from 14th February and will be played in single leg home and away format.
“Due to a court dispute there was a lot of uncertainty about the Indian Super League but today the government and AIFF along with club representatives of all 14 clubs have decided to start the league again,” Sports Miner Mansukh Mandaviya briefed the reporters on Tuesday.
The club representatives were present from all the 14 clubs: Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammaden FC, Inter Kashi FC, Mumbai City FC, Chennaiyin FC, SC Delhi, Bengaluru FC, NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC, Odisha FC, Kerala Blasters, and FC Goa.
Last week, in an official statement, the AIFF said the Emergency Committee met on January 3, to consider and acknowledge the report submitted the AIFF-ISL Coordination Committee. The Coordination Committee was formed on December 20, 2025, after discussions held during the AIFF Executive Committee meeting and the subsequent Annual General Meeting.
The Coordination Committee was tasked with submitting its report to the AIFF Secretariat January 2, which was duly complied with. The report was formally acknowledged the AIFF Emergency Committee, which recommended that the league be conducted AIFF.

AIFF’s statement on Instagram implied, “The AIFF Emergency Committee met today (January 3, 2026), to consider and acknowledge the report submitted the AIFF-ISL Coordination Committee. The Coordination Committee was constituted on December 20, 2025, following the AIFF Executive Committee meeting and the subsequent AIFF Annual General Meeting.

“The Coordination Committee was requested to submit its report to the AIFF Secretariat January 2, 2026, which was duly complied with. The report was formally acknowledged the AIFF Emergency Committee, which recommended that the league be conducted the All India Football Federation. Accordingly, the AIFF will conduct the league, and the date of commencement will be announced next week.”
