Israel admits makes over medic killings in Gaza as video shows final moments of Palestine emergency workers | World News
The Israeli army has admitted that it made makes during the killing of 15 emergency workers of Palestine in southern Gaza on March 23, after a video of the final moments emerged wherein the Israeli troops shot dead the emergency personnel after claiming that soldiers opened fire on vehicles “advancing suspiciously.”
According to a BBC report, the ambulances belonged to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and the convoy also included a United Nations car and a fire truck from Gaza’s Civil Defense which came under attack from Israeli forces near Rafah.
The video, first obtained New York Times, was recorded on a phone one of the 15 deceased ambulance and relief team members killed the Israeli military, PRCS said. Israel had claimed that it fired on the vehicle as the convoy moved “suspiciously” in darkness without the headlights.

Israel also claimed that the movement of the vehicles had not been coordinated or agreed to prior with the army. Contrasting to the Israeli claims, the mobile footage captured one of the deceased workers, showed the vehicles did have lights on as they answered a call to help people who were injured.

The bodies of the deceased were found after a week in a mass grave as they were reported to be missing. At least 14 bodies were recovered from the southern Rafah area, wherein eight of them were identified as members of the PRCS, five bodies belonged to the civil defense and one was a UN agency employee.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the military earlier fired on a car which had three Hamas members. However, the IDF admitted that their earlier claims of vehicles moving without headlights were inaccurate, BBC reported.
