Gazans Protest Against Hamas: In a rare show of opposition against the Gaza based Hamas militant group, hundreds of Palestinians protested in northern Gaza and demanded end of war, chanting “Hamas out”, multiple social media posts showed as the conflict with Israel began amid the collapse of the ceasefire agreement.
According to reports, northern Gaza has been the one severely hit Israeli and most of the buildings in the densely populated region have been turned into rubbles while much of the population has escaped the area multiple times due to hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
Hundreds of Palestinians protested against the war which has been ongoing since October 7, 2023 when Hamas first attacked Israel. Protesters marched through the streets of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza on Tuesday and chanted “For god’s sake, Hamas out,” “Hamas terrors” and “We want an end to the war.”

As per a witness quoted Reuters, “It was a spontaneous rally against the war because people are tired and they have no place to go.”
A message on social media stated to organise at least nine rallies against Hamas in Gaza on Wednesday, with the protest organizers saying, “our voices must reach all the spies who sold our blood.”

The mass protests in Gaza the local Palestinians come after the death toll in the war crossed 50,000 this month, according to Gaza’s health minry.
Israel Prime Miner Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the anti-Hamas protest in Gaza and said that Tel Aviv’s decision to renew its offensive was working in Gaza. Netanyahu has accused Hamas of not respecting the ceasefire and blamed the militant group for the deal’s collapse.
The two month truce between Israel and Hamas which began on January 19 got shattered as hostilities began since Israel relaunched its offensive against Hamas from March 18. During the ceasefire, Hamas handed over more hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli jails.
