Jasprit Bumrah starts bowling at NCA, sparks hopes of quick return for Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians will play their first Indian Premier League game of the 18th IPL season at their home stadium, the Wankhede, hoping that it helps them get their first win after two successive defeats. But there’s also some good news for the five-time champions, Mumbai. A viral video clip that has surfaced reportedly shows their pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah hitting the high notes as he speeds towards a comeback to cricket. Bumrah has been sidelines for over two months now due to a lower back injury.
Bumrah picked up the injury while playing for the Indian cricket team in their testing five-match Test series in Australia. He was missing from the Indian side that won the ICC Champions Trophy recently.
But the video clip from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru will raise hopes that a comeback for the pacer is on the cards.

The pacer was initially named in Indian team for the Champions Trophy, but was later replaced youngster Harshit Rana as the Board of Control for Cricket in India opted not to rush him into action. He will be India’s go-to man as Rohit Sharma’s men take on England in a series after the IPL ends.
