Amid the growing concerns about the health of Donald Trump, his deputy, Vice President JD Vance, has said that he is ready to take over if something happens to the US President.
Trump in ‘incredibly good health’
Speaking to USA Today on Wednesday, Vance, however, insed that 79-year-old Trump is in incredibly good health.
“The president is in incredibly good health,” said Vance. “He’s got incredible energy.”

“I feel very confident the president of the United States is in good shape, is going to serve out the remainder of his term and do great things for the American people,” Vance said.
Best on-the-job training: Vance
41-year-old Vance, who is the third-youngest Vice President in US hory, however, added that he was ready to become the President of the US, if something happens to Trump.
“And if, God forbid, there’s a terrible tragedy, I can’t think of better on-the-job training than what I’ve gotten over the last 200 days,” he said.

Trump is the oldest US President
Trump will become the oldest sitting president in American hory if he completes his term. Despite him being not eligible to run for a third term, Trump has repeatedly suggested that he could be in the race in 2028.Story continues below this ad
At 78 years and seven months, Trump became the oldest president of the US when he was inaugurated in January this year. He took the record from his predecessor, Joe Biden, who was 78 and two months when he assumed office in 2021.
Biden, who was originally the Democratic Presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, had to withdraw mid-race in July amid concerns about the health of the then 81-year-old.
Concerns over Trump’s health
Trump, who has repeatedly mocked Biden over his health, often calling him Sleepy Joe, has also come under scrutiny over his health in recent months.
After a series of photos and videos showing visible swelling in his lower legs surfaced, the White House confirmed in July that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common vein condition.
