Kamal Nath gives ministers powers to transfer Class III employees

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Kamal Nath, who is striving to keep his government in the state stable, has given more transfer powers to his ministers. Nath has given full powers to his ministers to transfer class three employees within the district. Transfer orders may be issued during prohibition period with the approval of ministers. So far, transfer orders of class three employees of state cadre, during prohibition period, were sent to Chief Minister for coordination. Earlier, Nath had given full powers to his ministers to transfer tehsil-level employees within the tehsil and district-level employees within the district.

With the state government issuing the order, the number of transfers coming for coordination at CM Secretariat will decline. Ministers had been demanding powers to transfer employees within the district during prohibition period. Nath, after Lok Sabha poll results, is trying to keep his ministers and MLAs happy. Ministers are also preparing another list of transfers, considering the recommendations of MLAs and party workers.
