Watch: Suryakumar Yadav and Piyush Chawla bag dressing room POTM’s after 1000th IPL game

Suryakumar Yadav and Piyush Chawla have been awarded the dressing room Man Player Of The Match (POTM) after Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals six wickets on Sunday at the Wankhede stadium.
“I think we had a good meeting yesterday. Oh! not a meeting not a meeting but, we had a good get-together and we literally walked the talk today well done remember the taste of this victory and let’s carry it ahead,” said Surya.
Chasing a mammoth 213 runs Surya scored a brilliant 55 off just 29 balls helping the hosts to get their eighth win of the season. Despite struggling with running between wickets due to an injury the stylish batter played his trademark cover drives and scoop shots.
Piyush Chawla on the other hand after the Royals got to a flier in the Powerplay picked up Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal to pull back things for the five-time champions.
Chawala after receiving his badge said, “Well you know we all were like… as Surya mentioned we had a get-together and the intent which we showed on the ground today was brilliant and we just want to carry on this momentum for the coming few games now.”

Despite Chawla’s spell Mumbai Indians conceded a huge total on the board. In the chase Rohit Sharma fell early however, Ishan Kishan and Cameroon Green built a clinical partnership which enabled the power hitter to explode later in the innings.
Surya’s dismal came at a crucial stage of the chase however, Tim David’s explosive knock at the end has seen Rohit’s men home in the 1000th IPL game.
