Kapil Sharma threatens to get Anurag Kashyap removed from ad shoot, director replies that’s why he quit the industry. Watch hilarious promo | Bollywood News

You can add another advertisement to the ‘unlikely collaborations which shouldn’t work but they do’ l this summer, as comedian Kapil Sharma and director Anurag Kashyap featured together in an aerated drink ad campaign, which hilariously is about making an ad for the soft drink.
It begins with Kapil asking Anurag, “Why does he need to make such ad-films if he is so talented?” to which the Gangs of Wasseypur director quickly retorts saying, “Tujhe kya zarurat thi, delivery wala banke dabbe baant raha tha? (Why did you need to play the role of a delivery guy?),” referencing Kapil’s film, Zwigato.
The ad proceeds with Anurag’s pitch being interrupted and questioned every second Kapil, and all the director has to say for his vision is that he has cinematic liberty. At last the duo fail to see eye to eye regarding the script, and Anurag storms off, threatening to find another comedian for the role, forgetting that Kapil is the brand ambassador of Sprite. Sharma points out that fact with a smile on his face and tells Kashyap, “If anyone will get replaced…” before breaking out in a laugh.

Anurag even makes a reference to one of his viral statements that he made in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter India, where he said that he is leaving Bollywood, saying that he is done with the ad-film industry.
Kapil posted the ad film on their social media, which shows the comedy nights star taking a massage treatment while Kashyap pitches him the idea for a script. This ad film is a part of Sprite’s new joke-in-a-bottle campaign, in which consumers can scan the QR code on the bottle and view a joke performed on their phone various influencers and comedians from Instagram.
Whether Kashyap is serious about leaving the ad-film industry or not, it’s safe to say that we have seen some hilarious campaigns companies this year. One such example is Dream11’s post-IPL ad series, featuring Indian cricketers such as Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav and Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
