The ex-husband of actor Karisma Kapoor, businessperson Sunjay Kapur, passed away on Thursday. He reportedly suffered a heart attack after swallowing a bee during a polo match. After the news of his demise broke, Karisma’s family and close friends were seen visiting her house. Karisma’s ser, actor Kareena Kapoor, paid her a visit with her husband, Saif Ali Khan. The family’s close friend, Malaika Arora, among others, were seen making a late-night visit to her home to offer support at this tough time.
Kareena arrived at Karisma’s residence in Mumbai, along with her husband Saif, while Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora’s family were also spotted outside Karisma’s home. Amrita’s husband, Shakeel Ladak, and one of their sons accompanied them.
In a clip shared online on a paparazzi account, Kareena and Saif were seen outside Karisma’s residence, looking sombre. Later, as they departed, Kareena attempted to shield her face from photographers, but was seemingly crying. In another video, Malaika was seen leaving in a car with Amrita’s son and her husband. She attempted to shield her face from the photographers as well.

Sunjay Kapur, chairman of Sona Comstar, was 53. He is said to have suffered a heart attack while playing polo in England. The incident took place during a match, and as per business consultant Suhel Seth, who confirmed the news to ANI. He shared Kapur accidentally swallowed a bee during the game, which may have caused the irritation.

Sunjay Kapur was first married was to Mumbai-based fashion designer Nandita Mahtani. The two separated in 2000. Sunjay and Karisma had got married in 2003 but their relationship went downhill. The officially divorced in 2016. The former couple share two children, daughter Samaira and son Kiaan.

Sunjay Kapur was married to entrepreneur and former model Priya Sachdev. She had a daughter, Safira Chatwal, from her earlier marriage. In 2018, Sunjay and Priya welcomed a son, Azarius.
