KKR’s Jason Roy looks to continue the winning momentum against Punjab

Nitish Rana-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are all set to play against the Shikhar Dhawan’s Punjab Kings on Monday at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens and ahead of the match the home team’s star opening batsman Jason Roy spoke about his team’s strategy to qualify for the playoffs and his approach in each upcoming games.
In a video posted the KKR’s social media handles, Roy reiterated what his skipper said in a previously released video that they will focus on each match individually and play with the same winning intent.
The English batter also said, “Every single game is important for us whether we won or lost the last game. We’ll go into tomorrow’s game with the same mindset, the same wanting to win. Same kind of excitement. It’s lovely opening batting. It’s lovely having that role in the side, especially for a franchise like KKR.
It’s a huge amount of hory. So very honoured to have that role. And I just need to go out there and do it more and more over and over and over again. I don’t think there’s that can kind of rest on their laurels and just kind of sit back and relax,” he said.

“Every single game is a new game and I want to make as much of an impact on this tournament and this team as possible. The impact that coming in I think it narrows down the kind of scores and stuff,” Roy added.
Roy further said, “There are not many limits on what you can set or chase. So extremely enjoyable But it’s been a very close contest throughout this tournament. Know there’s not really many teams if any, that are running away with the tournament. So huge four games coming up”.

KKR in this season have won only four matches out of ten which the team has played. The probability of their qualification in playoffs is low as the top teams on IPL points table are continuously winning matches and leading the table.
