KKR IPL 2025 Full Schedule, Fixtures, Match L, Dates, Venue: Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will be going head-first into the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign without a lot of personnel from their 2024 campaign missing. Their title winning captain Shreyas Iyer now leads Punjab, pacer Mitchell Starc who played a huge part in the knockouts now represents Delhi Capitals while destructive opener Phil Salt is now in Royal Challengers Bengaluru and their star mentor Gautam Gambhir is now the Indian national team’s coach.
With so many parts of a successful campaign unavailable, the Knights, under new skipper Ajinkya Rahane will begin their campaign against RCB in the IPL opener on March 22 at the Eden Gardens. Even after losing so many stars, KKR still look pretty balanced after retaining Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh and then bringing back Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 23.75 crore after releasing him into the auction pool.
They also brought back the likes of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Vaibhav Arora and Angkrish Raghuvanshi from last season’s team while acquiring Quinton de Kock, Anrich Nortje, Rovman Powell, Moeen Ali and Umran Malik in the auction. Malik, however, will not be able to play this edition of the IPL due to being out injured and Chetan Sakariya lined up as his replacement.
