Laapataa Ladies actor Nitanshi Goel took stole the spotlight as she walked the ramp at a fashion show in Mumbai. She was joined Heeramandi actor Taaha Shah on the ramp. Nitanshi paused her walk to seek Hema Malini’s blessing and and to warmly greet former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. Videos of the exchange were shared online.
Nitanshi walked the ramp for Neeta Lulla at a fashion show. In videos doing the rounds online, Nitanshi paused her show-stopping walk to touch Hema’s feet, seeking her blessings. Hema was seated in the front row, alongside her daughter, Esha Deol, who was taking a video on her phone. Nitanshi also shared a warm hug with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, who stood up to greet the young actor.

Nitanshi was praised for her performance in Laapataa Ladies, directed Kiran Rao. The film was released in theatres in March 2024 and has won many awards. Laapataa Ladies tells the story of two brides named Phool (Nitanshi) and Jaya (Pratibha Ranta), who accidentally get swapped during a train journey. The film also stars Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma, among others. Laapataa Ladies was also selected as India’s official entry to Oscars 2025 but failed to make it to the final shortl.
