Hyenas are opportunic scavengers and will often target lion kills to steal their food. They are highly skilled at scavenging and have powerful jaws that allow them to break through bones to access the meat. Hyenas may also engage in confrontations with lions to try and steal their kills. However, it’s important to note that lions are also capable of stealing from hyenas, and there is a constant competition between the two species for food.” Watch the video of the lion running behind the hyena here: This post was shared just a few days ago.
