Punjab chase down target without stress
When Punjab came out to bat, they looked like they were playing on a different pitch altogether as they chased down the target with eight wickets in hand (and with more than three overs to spare). While they did lose opener Priyansh Arya early for just 26 runs on board, Punjab did not lose their second wicket will there were 110 runs scored. LSG team mentor Zaheer Khan went a few steps ahead, slamming the pitch curator at Lucknow.
“What was a little disappointing for me here. Considering it’s a home game and in IPL you’ve seen how teams have looked at taking a little bit of home advantage, from that point of view you’ve seen the curator is not really thinking that it’s a home game. I think maybe it looked like, you know, it was Punjab curator out here,” Zaheer said at the press conference.
