Suryakumar Yadav to play last two Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy games for Mumbai | Cricket News

India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has informed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) selectors that he will be available for selection for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and will play the last two T20 games in Hyderabad.
Mumbai will take on Services and Andhra on December 3 and December 5 in their last two games.
Yadav missed four league games due to his ser’s marriage and he is now expected to join the Mumbai team on Monday evening.
“He has informed us that he is willing to play the last T20 game and MCA has added his name. He will be flying on Monday,” a source in the MCA confirmed.
It will be interesting to see if the Mumbai side decides to alter its batting positions for India’s short format captain. Mumbai has been starting their batting with Prithvi Shaw, Angkrish Raghuvansi, Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane. If Yadav makes it, he will have to slot in at number five.
The Mumbai Indians’ 360 player bats in the top four for the Indian team. The team management and Mumbai captain Iyer will take a call on Yadav’s batting position. When asked an MCA official about Yadav’s batting position, he said, “Yadav is a team player, he can bat at any position, he can sacrifice his position if the team wants too. He has never missed a domestic game despite playing for India. When free, he is the only India player, who plays matches at Mumbai’s maidaans. He just likes to play.”
Mumbai has won two games out of three in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and they are scheduled to take on Nagaland today.
