Man arrested for leaking Dharmendra video: Amitabh Bachchan says ‘durbing, disgusting’, rues ‘lack of ethics’; Jaya Bachchan schools paparazzi | Bollywood News

Amitabh Bachchan has responded strongly to the breach of privacy of the Deol family amid an emotional time for the family as actor Dharmendra is ailing. Bachchan, who was seen driving near the Deol residence on the day his Sholay co-star was discharged from hospital, wrote on his blog, “No ethics .. no sense of responsibility .. just an avenue of personal gain, without any consideration of the moment ..Durbing and disgusting ..”. Bachchan wrote it after a video was shared on certain social media platforms showing the ailing Dharmendra with his family. It was clear that the video was shot without the family being aware of it.
While the actor didn’t explain his comment in his blog, it came amid multiple personalities castigating paparazzi for insensitive coverage during Dharmendra’s ill-health. The actor, who was admitted at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital, returned home earlier this week and is being treated at home now. The hospital staffer, who shot a video which was recorded during the actor’s stay at the hospital, has been reportedly arrested for blatant breach of the family’s privacy.

Earlier, Sunny Deol publicly scolded photographers for their intrusive coverage. Visibly upset, he asked them, “Aren’t you guys ashamed?”
A day before, Jaya Bachchan, known for her long-standing discomfort with the paparazzi, also appeared exasperated. She was attending an event with her daughter, Shweta Bachchan, when photographers rushed toward her, jostling for pictures. The actor’s irritation was caught on camera, and the video has since gone viral across social media platforms.Story continues below this ad
As Jaya walked towards the venue, a cluster of photographers surrounded her, creating commotion in their attempt to get a clear shot. Clearly bothered the constant noise and the chaos, she paused and shot a stern look to her right. Noticing this, Shweta held her mother’s hand and guided her forward. Jaya could also be heard reprimanding the paparazzi firmly. She said: “Aap log photo lo, badtameezi mat karo. Chup raho, munh band rakho, photo lo. Upar se comments karte rahte ho” (You people take the pictures. Do not be ill-mannered. Keep quiet, shut your mouth and click pictures. No need to make comments).
This moment instantly reminded social-media users of another video of Jaya that had resurfaced recently. In that clip, she was seen exiting a prayer meet with Shweta Bachchan when fans and photographers blocked the path to their car. While Shweta continued walking, Jaya turned to the crowd and remarked, “Chaliye aap log bhi saath mein” (Why don’t you guys come along?). The comment left the crowd awkward and shuffling back, with a few uneasy smiles. Many online users also drew parallels to Saif Ali Khan’s earlier sarcastic quip to paparazzi stationed outside his home: “Ek kaam kariye, humare bedroom mein aajayie.”

Her concerns echo a broader frustration now being voiced many celebrities. Lately, the paparazzi have drawn criticism for crossing boundaries. Both Nikitin Dheer, son of late actor Pankaj Dheer, and Farah Khan Ali, daughter of late Zareen Khan, also voiced their frustration.
