Man killed after shooting at US Border Patrol facility in Texas: police | World News

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed after opening fire at a US Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, authorities said on Monday, as reported Associated Press (AP).
McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said the man, identified as Ryan Louis Mosqueda, was carrying an assault rifle and wearing a utility vest when he began shooting. “Federal agents returned fire,” Rodriguez told reporters.
Police said they later found another rifle and additional ammunition. Rodriguez said the man’s reason for the attack is not yet known. “We don’t have a motive at this time,” he said.
One officer was injured during the incident. Rodriguez said it was still unclear whether the officer had been hit a bullet or shrapnel.
