Ravindra Jadeja breaks Bishan Singh Bedi’s record, creates hory at IND vs AUS WTC Final

Ravindra Jadeja on Friday scripted hory surpassing Bishan Singh Bedi’s long-standing record of being India’s most successful left-arm spinner in the hory of Test cricket.
Jadeja achieved this feat during the third day of the India vs Australia World Test Championship final as he dismissed first innings’ centurions Steve Smith and Travis Head.
Jadeja has taken 267 wickets in 65 Test matches with an economy rate of 2.44 and an average of 24.25. Bishan Singh Bedi, on the other hand, has 266 wickets with 67 games under his belt.
The 33-year-old all-rounder ranks as the fourth most effective left arm-spinner overall in Tests. He trails England’s Derek Underwood (297 wickets in 86 matches), Daniel Vettori (362 in 113 matches), and Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka (433 in 93 matches).

In the longest format of the game, the all-arounder has been in tremendous form in 2023. He has 183 runs at an average of 30.50 in five games. He has one fifty-score, with a best score of seventy.

In addition, he has 25 wickets for an average of 19.84 and an economy rate of 2.63. His best bowling figures in an innings this year are 7/42.
