Mount came though the Chelsea academy and had stayed with Chelsea for 18 years, making 195 appearances for the first team, scoring 33 goals.
After a successful 2020/21 season which saw Mount help Chelsea win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel, his minutes were curtailed in the following seasons under Graham Potter and Frank Lampard.
The 24-year-old also has 36 England caps and has scored five goals for his country. He was also part of the squad that went on to represent the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
United, meanwhile, are in search of a new striker and are monitoring the Tottenham’s Harry Kane who has piqued the interest of German giants Bayern Munich as well.
