Mardaani 2 trailer: Rani Mukerji as Shivani Shivaji Rao is a woman you shouldn’t mess with

Rani Mukerji is one of the finest and most versatile heroines in the country. She has gone on to become a favourite with her hit films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Tum, Black, and her last release Hitchki. But one film that shattered the glass ceiling is Mardaani. Rani, as a fiery and honest cop, left us on the edge of our seat. While Rani went on to take a maternity break, fans have been over the moon ever since she announced that she will be returning as Shivani Shivaji Rao in Mardaani 2.

Slotted to release on December 13, the film is helmed by Gopi Puthran and also stars Vikram Singh Chauhan, Shruti Bapna and Rajesh Sharma. The makers of the film went on the release the trailer earlier today and Rani as Shivani is more hardcore and a woman you definitely shouldn’t mess with. Refusing to let people get away, the trailer’s background score, and brilliant dialogues only add more intrigue to this nail-biting thriller.

While fans have been loving the trailer, Rani had earlier spoken about the film’s first look. Revealing that the film has a feel of Goddess Durga, Rani told IANS, “During the festival, we worship Ma Durga, who is known as a symbol of strength and there is an essence of Ma Durga in Mardaani 2, so I feel happy that we communicated with the audience for the first time for Mardaani 2 during Durga Puja festival.”
