Marvel drops trailer for Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man. Watch | Hollywood News

Marvel Entertainment has just released the trailer for a new animated series called Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man. The series will be streaming on the Disney+ network starting January 29.
The trailer for the new Spider-Man series shows a young Peter Parker trying to tackle school, personal life, and, of course, his superhero alter ego. The type of animation chosen for the series seems to go back to the style of the original comics. The ‘classic’ comic style has been paired with modern artwork in an attempt to create something new.
Marvel has been focusing on series and episodic narratives since phase 4 concluded after Avengers: Endgame back in 2019. This stint has produced shows like She-Hulk, Loki, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Moon Knight, amongst others. This new format has received mixed reviews, as some stories did quite well, while others failed to make a mark in the minds of the audience.

Hudson Thames will be returning as the voice behind Peter Parker after playing the masked superhero last in the What If…? series. Other notable cast members are Colman Domingo playing Norman Osborn, Charlie Cox returning as Daredevil, Hugh Dancy playing Otto Octavius, and Kari Wahlgren playing Aunt May.
It’s important to note that Colman Domingo will be the first Black actor to portray the character of tech genius/Green Goblin, Norman Osborn. The trailer also reveals a new look and a new suit for Queens native. Several Easter eggs, such as a picture of Captain America with Osborn in the Oscorp Tower, are shown. Seemingly the trailer also pays homage to the famous ‘Bullet Dodging’ move from the Matrix series.

The trailer ends with Peter in a new suit, which has supposedly been given to him Norman Osborn himself. With many of Marvel’s recent projects not hitting the mark, all eyes will be on this new interpretation of the classic storyline.
