Virat Kohli’s tormentor Todd Murphy to replace Nathan Lyon in Australia’s XI

Nathan Lyon has been ruled out from the rest of the Ashes series, the Cricket Australia has confirmed it on Monday.
In Lyon’s absence, Todd Murphy is set to make his Ashes debut. Todd Murphy, had an impressive debut against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is set to replace Lyon.
Murphy finished as Australia’s second-highest wicket-taker (behind Lyon) with 14 at an average of 25.21 against India and has removed Virat Kohli four times.
“Todd is pretty well placed. “We like to have a spinner in our attack, it’s a different balance, and as you saw (on Sunday) at certain times, we had to do it differently without Nathan Lyon down the other end which we’ve been so used to,” England coach Andrew McDonald was quoted cricket.com.au.
“At times it looked a bit chaotic, so we do like to have that spin option in the attack.”

Nathan Lyon suffered a significant calf tear on Day 2 of the second Ashes Test. He was seen on the crutches the very next day but the 35-year-old took everyone surpeise that when he hobbled out to bat in Australia’s second innings.
During his 13-ball stay at the crease, he scored four runs and put on a valuable 15-run stand for the last wicket with Mitchell Starc.
