Congress objection to Jheeram massacre report surprising: BJP

The BJP on Sunday expressed surprise over the objection of the Congress to the submission of the 2013 Jheeram massacre probe report to the Governor.

In separate statements, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik and state BJP chief Vishnu Deo Sai said the Governor was the constitutional head of the state and hence there was nothing unusual in submitting the report to her.

Further, they demanded making the findings public and said the objection of the Congress will not change the contents of the judicial report.

The Congress raising objections without knowing the contents of the report was surprising, the BJP leaders said.
