6 people killed after plane crashes shortly after takeoff in Ohio | World News

Six people died when a small aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Ohio on Sunday morning, officials said.
The Cessna 441 was heading to Bozeman, Montana, according to publicly available flight tracking data, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
There were no survivors, said Anthony Trevena, Executive Director of the Western Reserve Port Authority, during a press conference. He added that the bodies had been taken to the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office, but their names have not been released.

Howland Township Fire Chief Raymond Pace said emergency workers had difficulty reaching the crash site. “We’re very fortunate. This is a extremely tragic situation, but it could have been worse,” he said, pointing out that three homes were located near the crash site.

Michael Hillman, president of aviation company JETS FBO Network, said the people on board were experienced professionals. “These were the best of the best in terms of the folks here at the field, as well as the pilots,” Hillman said. “I’d give anything to rewind the day and take them to breakfast instead.”
The Federal Aviation Adminration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the crash. The NTSB will lead the inquiry.
