Modi dedicates two O2 plants to Bhopal from PM Care Fund
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the world has seen very closely the bravery with which Indians tackled the biggest tragedy in a hundred years in the form of Covid infection.
There was just one testing lab when corona struck for the first time, but spreading a network of 3,000 labs, providing Made in India corona vaccine to the country and the world, conducting a massive vaccination campaign and ensuring the availability of ventilators in remote areas, is a symbol of our solidarity and sense of service.
Modi virtually dedicated 35 PSA Oxygen Plants established in 35 States and union territories from AIIMS Rishikesh to the nation.
Prime Minister Modi also virtually dedicated two oxygen plants built at JP Hospital premises in Bhopal from the Prime Minister’s Care Fund.
The Prime Minister said that the country’s high population density and geographical diversity was a major challenge in dealing with the Corona pandemic.
The people of India faced this challenge unitedly and developed their capabilities. Before the Corona transition in the country, 900 metric tons of liquid oxygen was produced, which we were able to increase ten fold when the demand increased. This is unimaginable for the world.
Modi said that transportation of oxygen was also challenging. Oxygen is produced in eastern India, while the demand for oxygen was comparatively higher in northern India and western parts of the country during the Corona transition period. In this situation, oxygen supply was ensured at the earliest by running Oxygen Express trains and by transporting empty tankers from Air Force planes to oxygen production centers at the earliest.
We are constantly working to prepare and strengthen the oxygen network to fight Corona in the future. 1150 oxygen plants have been started in the country. Every district of the country is equipped with oxygen plants made from PM Care. The country is going to get 4 thousand new oxygen plants.
Modi said that 93 crore Corona vaccine doses have been administered in the country. Soon we will cross the 100 crore mark. More than one lakh 30,000 vaccination centers have been established in the country. We have shown the way to the world how we can move towards 100 percent vaccination with CoWIN platform.
