Mouni Roy hits back at trolls claiming botched cosmetic surgery: ‘Let everyone do their job’ | Bollywood News

Actor Mouni Roy’s changed look recently sparked a debate on social media, with many claiming that the actor had opted for bangs to hide a botched cosmetic procedure. Speculation was rife that the Brahmastra star had undergone surgery to reduce the size of her forehead surgically lowering her hairline. While Mouni remained silent on the trolling for a long time, she finally addressed it at the trailer launch of her upcoming film The Bhootnii.
Speaking to the media, Mouni dismissed the rumours of plastic surgery, saying, “Kuch nahin. Dekhti hee nahi. Let everyone do their job… I do not pay attention to such remarks. If you hide behind a screen to troll others, and if you find happiness in that, so be it.”
Mouni attended The Bhootnii trailer launch alongside co-star Sanjay Dutt. The trolling around her appearance had first picked up after she shared a reel on Instagram wearing a black slip dress. In the comments section, several users questioned her look, claiming her cosmetic surgery had “gone wrong.” One fan wrote, “Surgery went wrong ,” while another commented, “Every public appearance is a new plastic surgery
.”
In earlier interactions, Mouni had also spoken about facing body-shaming after entering the film industry at the age of 19. She began her career with television, starring in hit shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Meera in Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq, Naagin, and more. She made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s Gold in 2018 and has since been part of films like Romeo Akbar Walter, Made In China, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2, Vedaa, and more.
