MP cabinet approves mobile unit scheme for treatment of domestic animals

The Madhya Pradesh government’s veterinary unit scheme will provide door-to-door treatment to the ill animals in the state.

BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday approved veterinary unit scheme to provide door to door treatment to the ill animals in the state. Home miner Narottam Mishra said, “The state government is very sensitive towards animals so we have decided to start a scheme for domestic animals. Under veterinary unit scheme, the animal husbandry department will provide a mobile unit which will be available on call at the doorstep. The mobile unit will have a veterinary doctor and a nursing staff with all necessary medicines.” It will be monitored at three levels. At state level, animal husbandry department principal secretary will monitor it while at drict level, the collector will be in-charge of it, he added. The cabinet also said that the development of Ram Van Gaman Path will be taken care of the culture department. The next cabinet meeting will be held in Pachmarhi hill station in Hoshangabad drict on March 26. All the miners and heads of the department will spend two days to take important decisions on preparing roadmap for a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh, he added.
