MP cabinet raises cap on CM, MLA discretionary funds

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday decided to increase the discretionary fund available to the chief miner and the state’s legislators.“The cabinet approved to increase the annual limit fixed for the chief miner’s discretionary fund from ₹150 crore to ₹200 crore for the financial year 2022-23,” home miner Narottam Mishra said after the cabinet meeting.The MLA area development fund has also been increased from ₹1.85 crore to ₹2.50 crore, and the MLA discretionary fund from ₹35 lakh to ₹50 lakh, he said.The cabinet also approved the contract for the operation of a cow sanctuary between Madhya Pradesh Gau Samwardhan Board and Shri Gau-Seva Teerth-Dham Pathmeda, drict Jalore, Rajasthan. Now, it will be developed as a tour spot and it is made self-reliant. The cabinet also approved two medical colleges of 100 seats each for Budhni of Sehore drict and Ujjain. The state government will also establish new 23 ITIs in the development blocks. The state government also allotted land for the establishment of the campus of “National Forensic Science University” (NFSU), in Huzur Tehsil of Bhopal. The cabinet gave its approval for the setting up of Rural Technology Park at Morena. Approval was given to create posts for the operation of Rural Technology Park.

Ensure 100-day targets are achieved June 30: Yogi
Chief miner Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday asked all the departments of his government to ensure that the targets set for the first 100 days were achieved June 30, 2022. He asked chief secretary Durga Shankar Mishra to submit a status report after reviewing the progress of all the departments. An official spokesman said the Yogi 2.0 government will complete 100 days in office on July 5, 2022.

Woman arrested for abetment to suicide of husband, death of paramour in Prayagraj
A 36-year-old woman has been arrested in Prayagraj on charges of abetment to suicide of her husband and the death of her paramour, police said. To note, the woman’s husband was found dead in the wee hours on Monday following which his brothers killed her paramour who was present at the spot with her. The woman was then arrested on Tuesday and sent to jail for abetment to suicide.

Man kills wife after she objects to his drinking habit: Lucknow police
A 45-year-old advocate-cum-construction material supplier shot dead Ashok’s 40-year-old wife with a licensed single barrel gun after a quarrel over drinking liquor at their house in Govind Puram colony in Thakurganj area in Lucknow on Tuesday afternoon, police said. Police have arrested the man identified as Ashok Kumar Chaurasiya and sent the body for post mortem. The couple has three children, two sons Abhay and Saumya alias Arpit and a daughter Khushi alias Aadya.
