Democratic members of the US House Oversight Committee on Wednesday released photos and videos of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands.According to the Democrats, the photos and videos were never seen the public before.

“See for yourself. We won’t stop fighting until we end this cover-up and deliver justice for the survivors,” the Democratic House Oversight Committee said in a social media post.
The House Oversight Committee said the photos from 2020 were taken US Virgin Island authorities.

Epstein’s private island
The Little Saint James, also known as Epstein Island, is a small private island in the US Virgin Islands, southeast of Saint Thomas. It was owned American financier and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein from 1998 until his death in 2019.
Epstein’s two private islands, Little St. James and Great St. James, were purchased billionaire private equity executive Stephen Deckoff in May 2023.

Many of Epstein’s victims have in their testimonies claimed that they were trafficked to Little St. James, where they were exploited the financier and his associates.Story continues below this ad
‘To ensure public transparency’
“These new images are a durbing look into the world of Jeffrey Epstein and his island,” Representative Robert Garcia, Democratic ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, said in a press release.
“We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency in our investigation and to help piece together the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes. We won’t stop fighting until we deliver justice for the survivors.”
“It’s time for President Trump to release all the files, now,” Garcia said.
The press release also said that the committee had received records from JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, which they intend to release publicly in the coming days.Story continues below this ad
Time ticking for DOJ to release Epstein files
The release of the photos and images of Epstein’s private island comes at a time when Congress is pressing the Donald Trump adminration to release all of its case files on the sex trafficking investigation into the late financier.
The Department of Justice has until mid-December to comply with legislation passed Congress and signed President Trump to publicly release many of its documents on Epstein.
