Neha Kakkar blames organisers for delay at Melbourne concert, says they ran away with her money: ‘My band was not given food, hotel, water’ | Bollywood News

After facing backlash for arriving three hours late to her Melbourne concert, Neha Kakkar has finally broken her silence. The singer took to Instagram to share a four-page note, explaining her side of the story. In the note, Neha blamed the organisers for the delay and revealed that she performed for free.
Neha started her note with the words: “They said she came three hours late, did they even ask once that what happened to her, what did they do to her and her band?”
The singer revealed that when she finally took the stage after the delays and chaos, she chose not to disclose the real reason to her fans and instead took full responsibility herself. However, she clarified that the organisers had actually run off with her money and stopped responding to her manager’s calls, causing the confusion and making many fans wait.
She wrote, “I didn’t tell anyone what happened to us because I didn’t want anyone to ger harmed. But now that it has come on my name, I had to speak up.”

Sharing the real reason, Neha Kakkar wrote, “Do you know that I performed for absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The organisers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel, and even water.”
The singer shared that it was her husband and singer Rohan Preet Singh who arranged these things for her band at the end.
“Inspite of all this, we still went on stage and did the show without any rest because my fans were waiting for me.”

Neha Kakkar then shared that her sound check got delayed because the organisers hadn’t paid to the sound vendor as well, who refused to do the sound check as protest. She then couldn’t reach the venue on time and was unsure about the concert because the organisers had stopped picking her manager’s call. “They were running away from the sponsors and everyone.”
At the end of the note, the Indian Idol judge thanked all her supporters who stood her side in the difficult time and spoke in her support.
Soon after Neha Kakkar’s statement, her husband Rohan Preet Singh too took to his Instagram handle and shared a note which said not to judge people without knowing both sides of the story. At the end of his note, he praised his wife and said, “Huge respect to my wife and band, who went on stage even after so much difficulties and chaos!”
A couple of days ago, a video of Neha Kakkar went viral where the singer could be seen sobbing on stage and apologising for reaching late for her concert in Melbourne. Many from the crowd booed her, with some passing comments such as: “This is not Indian Idol.” Many fans expressed their frustration, accusing the singer of disrespecting them and not valuing their time.
