Nepal: Sushila Karki to announce Cabinet today | World News

Nepal interim Prime Miner Sushila Karki is set to give full shape to her cabinet on Monday, packing it mostly with activs.
According to sources close to the Prime Miner’s office, Karki will have 11 miners and she will retain Defence and Foreign Affairs.
Karki and her aides went through hectic consultation after a couple of public figures including renowned ophthalmolog Sanduk Ruit turned down her offer. Sources said they have “more or less finalised their l,” adding that they will be sworn in tomorrow.

Jagdish Kharel, the chief of Image channel is likely to be the new communication miner that controls government’s publicity outlets including Nepal TV, Radio Nepal and the government news agency Rastriya Samachar Samiti and the English and Nepali dailies The Rising Nepal and Gorkhapatra.
Anil Sinha, a former judge of the Supreme Court is likely to be the new Law Miner.
The Cabinet, so far with four members, met today and is believed to have agreed to vigorously pursue a probe into the corruption in high places, an issue the youth protestors raised.
Highly placed sources said PM Karki had a meeting with the chief of the anti graft constitutional body Prem Rai, with a clear message that he should either investigate into cases pending before him or pave the way for somebody who will do it. In the meantime, the government is also considering forming a high level probe body headed Gauri Bahadur Karki, a retired judge of the high court, to investigate the excessive use of force the K P Sharma Oli government that resulted in the death of over 75 youths last week.
