Neymar tells PSG he wants to leave, keen to play for Barcelona again | Football News

Brazilian star Neymar is likely to leave the club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) before the transfer window closes at the end of this month, multiple news outlets, including The Telegraph reported.
Thirty-one-year-old Brazilian has informed PSG that he wants to leave. Neymar’s contract with the French club is till 2027, but with Lionel Messi moving on to play for Inter Miami and Kylian Mbappe set to leave, PSG is facing a talent drain. In the meantime PSG signed Portugal striker Goncalo Ramos from Benfica on a season-long loan. The club also has an option to buy him.
“It is a great pride and an immense happiness to join Paris Saint-Germain. PSG is one of the biggest clubs in the world with one of the best squads,” the 22-year-old Ramos said in a statement.
According to The Telegraph, Neymar is keen to return to former club Barcelona but the club may not be able to afford him because they have to sell players to balance their books.

ESPN also reported about Neymar being keen to play for Barcelona again. However, according to ESPN, there is an ongoing debate among the decision- makers at the club about Neymar. Coach Xavi Hernandes believes the Brazilian star does not fit the bill. However, club president Joan Laporta could take the final call.
For Neymar, the English Premier League, with Chelsea said to be in talks with the footballer’s agent, will be one option but it waits to be seen if the lucrative Saudi Premier League will offer him a contract he can’t res.
