What to expect from the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct?
Earlier this year, Nintendo posted a teaser which confirmed that the Switch 2 will have a larger screen and battery, feature two USB-C ports, retain the iconic Joy-Cons and get a new button. Talking of Joy-Cons, Nintendo has teased that gamers will be able to use the new controllers as computer mouse. Also, it will be interesting to see what the new mysterious ‘C’ button brings to the table.
We are also yet to see how much power the Switch successor will have, but a recently leaked patent application hints that the console will support some sort of AI upscaling, which may be an in-house developed solution or use NVIDIA’s widely supported DLSS upscaling tech.
However, the biggest reveal will be the exact release date and price of the Switch 2. The Switch 2 is rumoured to cost somewhere around the $400 mark, but it won’t be surprising if the Switch successor sees a modest price bump with its bigger screen and more powerful chipset.Story continues below this ad
