Indian Premier League Orange Cap Winners L from 2008 to 2025 Season: Gujarat Titans’ dynamic opening batter Sai Sudharsan was the highest run getter of the Indian Premier League 2025. He won the Orange Cap after scoring 759 runs from 15 matches for GT in IPL 2025. Sudharsan scored these runs at a healthy average of 54.21 while his strike rate was 156.17. His 88 fours were also the most any player this season.
Gujarat Titans, led Shubman Gill, reached their third playoffs in four years since they joined the league. They finished third to qualify for the knockouts and earn the right to play the Eliminator against the Mumbai Indians. Their campaign, which at one point was looking very solid, derailed after they lost the last three games this season.
GT were knocked out of IPL after losing 20 runs to MI in the Eliminator, nonetheless, they had quite a season to remember. Sudharsan, alongside his opening partner Gill, led the charge from the front, stitching multiple fifty and hundred-run partnerships over the course of IPL 2025.

Sudharsan was also chosen as the Emerging Player of the Season and became the second Gujarat Titans player to win the Orange Cap. Earlier, Gill was the highest run-getter in 2023, where he scored 890 runs in 17 innings to win the Orange Cap.  The 23-year-old is the seventh Indian to have won the Orange Cap. Before him, Gill, Virat Kohli (twice), KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa and Sachin Tendulkar were the Indians to win the cap.
