Salman Khan says Dharmendra inspired him in a good way: ‘I have always followed him…’ | Bollywood News

Salman Khan has always been vocal and expressive about his deep admiration for veteran actor Dharmendra. When Dharmendra was unwell, Salman was among the first to visit him in the hospital and later wished him a speedy recovery. When the legendary actor passed away, Salman broke down on national television while hosting the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 19. Now, the superstar has once again expressed his love and respect for Dharmendra, this time on an international platform.
During a recent interaction at an international event, Salman fondly remembered Dharmendra and said, “I just lost a father figure—Dharma ji. I think he inspired me. I have always followed him and whatever I have done in my career… You know, I followed a hero, I followed Dharam ji. On a script level, I have tried to follow my father. The only two people that I have been inspired in a good way.”
When the interviewer asked him what it was about Dharmendra that he could never forget, Salman replied instantly, “The man. He is a very noble man. Very good man. Very emotional man.”

Over the years, several videos have surfaced of Salman Khan and Dharmendra sharing the stage on various occasions. The veteran actor often affectionately referred to Salman as his “third son” after Sunny Deol and Bob Deol, highlighting the warmth they shared.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is all set to turn 60 soon. Just days ahead of his birthday, the actor shared a photo on his Instagram handle, leaving fans stunned his fitness. He captioned the post, “I wish I could look like this when I am 60!” and added, “6 days from now.”
In the picture, Salman—currently shooting for Galwan—looked extremely fit as he posed at the gym. The photo quickly grabbed attention online, with fans and celebrities pouring in comments. Producer Ekta Kapoor wrote, “At 45 also you look good sir.”
