Oscar Piastri wins; Norris gives McLaren 1-2 finish in Shanghai

Oscar Piastri finished a perfect weekend to win the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday after starting from pole to give Mclaren their second win in as many races this season. The Australian had finished second behind seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in the sprint race earlier on Friday.
McLaren’s Lando Norris finished as the runner-up, getting his second podium this season after winning the inaugural race at the Australian Grand Prix. For Mercedes’ George Russell, it was again a third-place finish as he also guaranteed himself a back-to-back podium.
Defending champion, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was fourth while Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Hamilton were fifth and sixth respectively.
This is Piastri’s third career F1 win. He previously claimed wins at the Hungarian Grand Prix and Azerbaijan Grand Prix both in the 2024 season.
