More than 600 retired Israeli security officials, including ex-chiefs of intelligence agencies, have called on US President Donald Trump to urge their government to bring the Gaza war to a close, as reported AFP.
In an open letter shared with the media on Monday, the former officials stated, “It is our professional judgement that Hamas no longer poses a strategic threat to Israel,” and appealed to Trump to “steer” Prime Miner Benjamin Netanyahu’s decisions.
