Roads of all cities should be better: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the roads of the city are the mirror of the image of the state. Roads in any city should not look bad. It is our first priority that the roads of all the cities should be better. Chouhan reviewed the Urban Development and Housing Department today. He said that a progressive approach should be adopted for the development of the city.

Chouhan said that take public’s feedback regarding Deendayal Rasoi Yojana. Deendayal Antyodaya Samitis can also be linked to these. Also make a proposal regarding the mobile kitchen scheme. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh said that Deendayal Rasoi should be run by urban bodies.

The Chief Minister gave instructions for assessment and branding of night shelters. Provide benefits of other welfare schemes of the government to the urban street vendors. He said that loans should be made available to street vendors on time. Inspire them for digital transactions.

Chouhan said that work should be done to bring the state to number-1 in the next cleanliness survey. Involve the public and public representatives in this campaign. Complete the ongoing sewerage project in the cities situated on the banks of Narmada before Narmada Jayanti. In all the cities including Amarkantak where the sewerage project has been completed, sewerage connections of all the houses must be made compulsorily. He said that the conditions of repair of roads which are damaged due to sewerage system and drinking water line should be included in the tender itself and also ensure compliance. Urban Development Minister Singh said that the DPR for Swachh Bharat Mission-2 should be prepared soon, so that money can be received from the Centre on time.

The state also topped in air quality

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the state should also be made top in the matter of air quality. In the meeting, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Manish Singh informed that under the goal of Atma-nirbhar Madhya Pradesh, the air quality has improved by 22 percent in Bhopal and 11 percent in Gwalior. The air quality in Indore and Jabalpur is also at satisfactory level.

Make incubation centres useful

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that start-up incubation centres operating in cities should be made useful. Bring out new entrepreneurs through these centers. Make a comprehensive policy for this. It was informed in the meeting that incubation centres are being linked with IITs and IIMs and other important consulting firms. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that after the skill development training programme, it should be seen that how many people got placement and how many people set up self-employment. The ultimate objective is to provide employment. The model of CII-run training centre at Sagar should be implemented at other places.
