Pakan captain Shan Masood slams journal for ‘disrespectful’ question: ‘No one will tolerate…’ | Cricket News

Pakan Test skipper Shan Masood slammed a journal and asked the media to stop disrespecting the players after the hosts lost to West Indies 120 runs in the 2nd Test.
The incident occurred in the post-match press conference when a journal asked Masood if he will step down as leader of the pack on his own or the PCB will have to remove him.
Masood initially ignored the question and asked for the next one but then he came back to the journal, saying, “If you want to talk about facts, feel free to, but your information is completely inaccurate.”

“Your question had too much disrespect. No one here will tolerate this.”

“You have your opinion and I respect that but there is a lot of disrespect in your question. You can’t show disrespect to players, me and the others. We all play for Pakan and get results but no one will tolerate such disrespect. You have to understand that. You want to put someone down fine but we all are Pakan players,” he added.
Masood said that the PCB is the decision maker and the players have always accepted whatever decisions the Board has made.
“You have to understand and appreciate that we are trying to do something different and you must study that. Anyone can google something but we are trying to do something and we have won three out of the last four Tests at home,” he said.
In the match, Pakan, which needed a further 178 runs for an improbable win, fell quickly to Jomel Warrican’s left-arm spin on Day 3 as the West Indies gained its first test win in Pakan in over 34 years.

Warrican claimed 5-27 to finish the series with a series-leading 19 wickets and also pushed Pakan to the bottom of the World Test Championship table as both teams ended its two-year campaigns.
