Pakan squad for Asia Cup 2025: Salman Agha to lead 17-member team; Babar Azam, Rizwan overlooked | Cricket News

Pakan have announced their squads for the upcoming T20I tri-series and Asia Cup scheduled to take place in the UAE from 29 August to 28 September. Salman Agha will continue to lead the side as the team coached Mike Hesson continued to snub senior pros Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam from the shortest format.
Pakan are placed in Group ‘A’ alongside India, Oman and UAE. They will begin their campaign on September 12 against Oman followed the highly-anticipated India clash on September 14 at the same venue.
Having been drubbed in the ODI series decider 202 runs in the West Indies last week, Pakan will aim to regroup and brace for the continental rigours when they travel to the UAE for a tri-series T20 tournament between August 29 and September 7. The tri-series, featuring Afghanan, Pakan and UAE will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Star wicket-keeper Mohammad Haris also kept his spot. The selectors have also reposed their faith in young names like Hasan Nawaz, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim.
