Pakan’s Talha Waheed smashed the mark for most tennis serves in a minute, Guinness World Records said on Wednesday. The record was previously held American John Perry who in 2019 who had 42 serves. Waheed, meanwhile, hit 59 successful serves in a November attempt that was ratified this week.
“A seasoned competitor in national and international senior tennis, Talha boasts an impressive record in the 35+, 40+, and 45+ doubles categories, having claimed multiple national titles. His international career includes participation in ITF senior world ranking tournaments, where he achieved a career-high ranking of 144 in the 40+ doubles category,” the Pakan Tennis Federation (PTF) said on Instagram
In order to break the record, Waheed followed a rigorous three-month training regimen and made his official attempt on November 8, 2024, in Lahore, adhering strictly to Guinness World Records guidelines. On March 10, 2025, Talha received official confirmation from Guinness World Records, declaring him the new world record holder, the PTF said.

Pakan Tennis Federation President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi hailed the 47-year-old’s achievement as a major inspiration for young players. “Talha’s achievement is unique, and securing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records is no easy task. This will serve as a great inspiration and a major boost for tennis in Pakan.” he said.
