Palak Muchhal showcases her personal doll collection: ‘The count is 3,473; har gudiya ke peeche ek story hai…’ | Lifestyle News

Not all superwomen wear capes. Some collect dolls. Meet Indian playback singer Palak Muchhal, who recently gave a special home tour, during which she showcased her vast doll collection comprising 3,473 dolls.
“Yeh meri gudyiyaen hain, and bahut bahut bahut special collection hai. (These are my dolls and these are very special to me) The count is 3,473. The count is precise because har doll ke peeche ek story hai (Every doll has a story to tell). Jin logo ko nahi pata hai, main heart patient ki surgery ke liye apna poora (concert) remuneration donate karti hu. (I donate my concert proceeds to heart patients and collect a doll from them as a token),” Muchhal told Mashable India.
“It’s been 25 years of helming the mission. I was really young when I started it and have managed to save the lives of 3,473 children. I keep a doll in exchange because these are representations of lives that got saved through my concert. So it’s very special for me,” the 32-year-old added.

Taking a cue, let’s understand the value of philanthropy or community services.
Community service represents a “powerful pathway to respect,” said Dr Chandni Tugnait, MD (A.M), psychotherap, coach, and healer, founder and director of Gateway of Healing. Contributing to collective well-being without seeking recognition demonstrates character and builds goodwill,” added Dr Tugnait.

Keepsakes like dolls are a wonderful way to preserve positive memories. According to Dr Tugnait, they give a sense of identity and purpose, which gives hope and resilience in dressing times.
