The home also serves as a multigenerational sanctuary, where four generations live under one roof—including her parents and grandmother. This deep-rooted connection to family adds a special warmth to their home.
“Before starting Mamaearth, I was actually an art,” Ghazal revealed, sharing that she was a trained art from the New York Academy of Art. Her passion for painting is reflected throughout the house, with her artwork adding a personal touch to the decor. She explains, “In any of my work, you will see horses will always be there, there’ll be a few birds, you know, there’ll be musical instruments… but everything is in pairs.”

Despite their success, the Alaghs remain grounded. They reminisce about their first home together—a 600 sq. ft. apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. Recalling its compact size, Ghazal laughs, “You enter, and you’re already seeing the room, the wall where it ends.”
Despite its size, the home held a special place in their hearts. She admits, “We cried when we moved from it. It was our first house together.”Story continues below this ad
Their current home, in contrast, is more spacious and thoughtfully designed, reflecting their journey as entrepreneurs and parents. Even in their luxurious setting, they keep their hearts close to their humble beginnings.
The couple emphasizes fitness as an integral part of their routine. Ghazal describes her preference for running and yoga while Varun humorously navigates the house on a Segway board. Ghazal laughs as she watches him, saying, “He walks in the house on this all day long—even through small ways, you’ll be able to like do this and this and just roll through.”
As she brews tea in the kitchen, she shares a personal touch: “I have this special mix which is saunf (fennel), elaichi (cardamom), and a lot of other herbs mixed—so a little bit of that for flavour and health.”
Their commitment to fitness and well-being extends beyond their careers, ensuring they make time for personal care.Story continues below this ad
