Indian restaurant in Minneapolis shuts down ‘to protect team’ amid ICE crackdown

An Indian restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota has shut down indefinitely amid an immigration crackdown in the city led the United States Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The operation is being framed federal authorities as lawful immigration enforcement, but state and local leaders describe it as a militarised crackdown that goes far beyond routine enforcement.As a result, thousands of Minneapolis residents have taken to the streets to protest against ICE presence. Videos shared online show a Curry Corner staff member dributing hot samosas to protestors.“Today we took Curry Corner into downtown Minneapolis to support our community. We went out to share warm samosas and meals with those protesting and standing up for what they believe in,” the caption explained.
