Plant along railway track: Pragya Thakur

For a clean environment, intensive plantation should be done near the boundary wall built on the side of the railway line and the encroachment on railway land along the railway line, especially where safety is being disrupted, should be removed suggested MP Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur during Divisional railway Users consultative Committee meeting.

In the meeting, members of Divisional railway Users consultative Committee Neeraj Singh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Kumar Singh and Gaurav Singh, all heads of departments, Additional General Managers of IRSDC were present.

MP Pragya, members of DRUCC and all the officers present paid tribute to the departed souls by observing silence of two minutes.

MP met the families of the employees who died due to the impact of Covid-19 infection and consoled them, and asked the Divisional Railway Manager to provide all possible help. On this occasion, MP gave PPO to the members of the family members of deceased.

DRM Borwankar shared that a total storage capacity of about 100 million litres of water has been created in 18 new ponds in water scarce areas. Bhopal division has also revived 6 old wells which were lying dormant for many years. Thus Bhopal division has worked with the theme ‘Green Bhopal – Clean Bhopal’ and contributed in improving the green cover of the city.

The DRM informed the work of redevelopment of Habibganj station is almost complete. Under the development done at Bhopal station, a new building is being constructed on the side of platform number-6 and passenger friendly facilities are being provided in it.

In order to conserve electrical energy, the Board has set up hybrid (solar and wind power) power plants at Bhopal, Shivpuri and Panihar railway stations, where solar and wind energy is available in abundance.
