Ram Navami 2025 Puja Vidhi, Samagri, Mantra: Ram Navami 2025 Puja Vidhi, Samagri, Mantra: Ram Navami is considered one of the most significant festivals celebrated Hindus in India with devotion and reverence. Ram Navami commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Ram, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, which is why it’s also referred to as Shri Ram Janmotsav.
Lord Rama was born on the ninth day (Navami Tithi) of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Chaitra, the first month of the Hindu calendar, which usually corresponds to late March or April, according to the Gregorian calendar.
This year, Ram Navami will be marked on Sunday, April 6. According to Drik Panchang, Lord Ram was born during the madhyanha period–the middle of the day, which is considered the most auspicious time to perform rituals.

In 2025, the date for Ram Navami will commence on April 5 at 7:27 PM and continue until April 6 at 7:24 PM, with the midday timings starting from 11:08 A.M. and ending at 01:39 PM. Worshipping and celebrating his birth during this sacred time holds great spiritual significance.

Ram Navami is marked most devotees keeping a fast on this day and preferring to eat sattvic food (without salt), while also visiting temples and lening to stories of Ram’s birth and legends from the Ramayana.

Devotees also sing bhajans and chant mantras like Om Shri Ramaya Namah, Shri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama, Om Dasharathaye Vidmahe Sitavallabhaya Dhimahi, or Tanno Rama Prachodayat, in addition to worshipping the deities of his family, his loyal brother Lakshman, his devoted wife Sita and Rama’s greatest devotee, Hanuman.
Devotees offer flowers, sweets, and incense sticks to please Lord Rama. Two plates are kept ready in front of the deities. One plate contains prasad, and the other plate contains items like bangles, aipun, rice, water and flowers for the pooja rituals.Story continues below this ad
After the pooja is concluded, aarti is performed, and the holy water of the pooja is sprinkled over the devotees as a sign of blessing from the God.
